J-Series Pump Head with Integrated Valve
The J-Series pump head incorporates the valve function directly into the pump liquid path. When the motor stops, the internal valve restricts water from moving freely back through the pump.
This helps keep the inlet-side water condition more consistent between operating cycles. Because the valve function is integrated into the pump head, an additional valve for the same function may not be required in that section of the machine water line.
For coffee machine manufacturers, this can simplify the component arrangement around the pump and reduce the need to position an extra valve close to the pump body.

Removable Tank Connection and Inlet-Line Layout
In coffee machines with a removable reservoir, the tank outlet is disconnected and reconnected each time the tank is removed for refilling or cleaning.
The tank connector and inlet hose should return to the correct position after repeated removal. The hose should have enough movement to allow the reservoir to be taken out without pulling on the pump port or twisting the connection behind the tank.
A short and direct inlet route is preferred. Sharp bends, flattened tubing or excessive hose length can change the inlet condition and make the tank connection more sensitive to assembly tolerances.
The pump uses a Ø6.5 mm water port, so the hose fit should be checked together with the actual tank outlet and connector during machine assembly.
Tank water level should also be considered. As the reservoir empties, the relationship between the water surface and pump inlet changes, so the inlet arrangement should work at both normal and low tank levels.
Water-Line Condition Between Operating Cycles
The inlet-side water condition can change between one pump cycle and the next.
For a removable-tank coffee machine, this condition is affected by the tank level, tank connector, inlet hose and the internal valve structure of the pump.
During machine development, check the inlet line after normal pump shutdown and again after the reservoir has been removed and installed. The goal is to confirm that the tank-feed section returns to a consistent condition during repeated machine use.
